Constrained Envelope Continuous Phase Modulation
We develop a coded modulation system with continuous phase and a small controlled envelope variation. We call the system Constrained Envelope Continuous Phase Modulation (ceCPM) and show that, there is a gain for ceCPM over CPM under the same spectrum constraint. With normalized amplitude varying in the interval {1±0.2} the gain for ceCPM is up to 2.5 dB over CPM at symbol error probability 10....

OF THE DISSERTATION Constant Envelope OFDM Phase Modulation by Steve C. Thompson Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering (Communications Theory and Systems) University of California San Diego, 2005 Professor James R. Zeidler, Chair Professor John G. متن کاملConstant Envelope Binary Ofdm Phase Modulation
In this paper a new approach is presented to alleviate the undesirable effects due to the high peak-to-average power ratio of orthogonal frequency division multiplexing. A class of signaling called OFDM angle modulation is presented. These constant envelope OFDM based signals guarantee a 0dB PAPR thus are well suited for efficient nonlinear power amplification. This paper focuses on binary OFDM...
متن کاملPerformance of Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation based Three Phase Inverter
In this paper a new sinusoidal PWM inverter suitable for use with power MOSFETs is described. . The output waveforms in the proposed PWM inverter are investigated both theoretically and experimentally. The fundamental component of the three-phase line-to-line voltage is increased by about 15 percent above than that of the conventional sine-wave inverter. The sinusoidal PWM switching scheme allo...
متن کاملPhase-map measurements by interferometry with sinusoidal phase modulation and four integrating buckets.
Phase-shifting interferometry based on the integrating-bucket technique with sinusoidal phase modulation is studied theoretically and demonstrated experimentally to obtain phase maps from double-beam interferometers. The method uses four frames obtained by integration of the time-varying intensity in an interference pattern during the four quarters of the modulation period. An optimum sinusoida...
